Nice as always!

Was here a few days in September. I felt very comfortable there. Room was new and modern renovated and everything was very clean. If KIEL - then Hotel WAFFENSCHMIEDE in Holtenau

Today on October 1st, 2020 we were here for the first time. The cod was a very special fish, simply excellence. Service not only friendly, but also funny. Dog-friendly, just plain good. Highly recommend this restaurant, cooked with love. The fantastic view of the Kiel Canal is another factor.

A great hotel located on the canal, ideal for people who love ships and want to watch them. Already a little patina in one place or another, but clean and good service. Recommendable!

A small hotel run with a lot of LOVE. The rooms are nice and perfectly clean. Breakfast is plentiful, with fruit salad, yogurt, juice, salmon and much more. The best thing is the location, the ships do not go 10 meters on the terrace or the restaurant ... Unique

Here you are really welcome as a guest. The rooms and the restaurant are a bit nostalgic but very well maintained and clean. The owners and the staff are very friendly and always ready to meet your every need. Here are people at work who understand their craft. The menu offers top quality regional cuisine. Breakfast is still served at the table. Like in the old days. There was nothing missing. To say goodbye, there was a bar of chocolate with us on our bike tour. You can really only recommend this house.

Nice view of the canal ferry and the NOK, good cuisine

We were there with 3 people when the weather was nice eating on the terrace. We ate fish, lamb and steak. All dishes were excellent, very good portions. Great service, nice view of the canal .... we would love to come back, keep up the good work :-)

As always, very good. The staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. It is very clean. We have been there many times and the food is of consistently very good quality.

Anyone looking for a modern hotel is out of place here. But if you are looking for old-school service, absolute cleanliness in the rooms and guest room, attentive owners and friendly staff, this is the place for you. We were there for a week and really enjoyed our stay. This was not least due to the very good price / performance ratio and the great location on the North-East Sea Canal. The food in the restaurant tasted excellent and that the restaurant is also visited by local people speaks for itself. Of course you can always find something to complain about when looking for something. But you should stay fair, have already paid considerably more money for a less pleasant stay. I would book there again under the current owners.

Perfect little hotel in beatiful surroundings, will visit again when there is an opportunity.

It is a very lovingly run family business. Very friendly service staff. Owner always friendly and keen to meet the wishes of the guests! Always worth a visit thanks to its location directly on the Kiel Canal. Very tasty food, the specialty is the Labskaus eat in winter.

We rode the bike along the NOK and stayed overnight in the weapons factory. The room was clean, but getting old. The shower quite small. The bed was good for that. The food in the evening was very good. Great, huge plaice. Good side salad, served in advance. The onion soup was also delicious and the leg of lamb was excellent. The breakfast the next morning was served at the table and left nothing to be desired.

Eat delicious and watch the pots in the NOK what more could you want. The hotel is also great, the staff was very friendly, everything was there what you need for a pleasant holiday.

If you love ships and would like to watch them during breakfast, this is a nice hotel, with friendly owners. Located directly on the North-East-Sea-Canal, overlooking the locks.
